What we collect
- · The Instagram handle you submit.
- · Public profile data we fetch about that handle (bio, follower counts, recent post captions and images) via our scraping provider, Apify.
- · The email address you provide to receive your free review.
- · If you purchase the full audit: payment metadata processed by Stripe (we never see your card details).
- · Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) used to prevent abuse.
How we use it
- · Generate and deliver your first-impression review and full audit.
- · Email you a copy of your report and, if you bought the audit, your unlock confirmation.
- · Process payments and prevent fraud.
- · Improve the service in aggregate, never to identify you individually.
Who processes your data
We use a small set of trusted processors: Lovable Cloud (hosting + database), Apify (Instagram public-data fetching), Stripe (payments), and our transactional email provider. Each operates under their own privacy terms.
Retention & deletion
Reports are retained so you can revisit your link. Email us at hi@canarybird.app to delete your data — we'll erase your job, email, and any associated records within 7 days.
Your rights
If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact us and we'll respond promptly.
Cookies
We don't use marketing or analytics cookies. We do use functional browser storage (localStorage) to remember your last review so you can return to it.
